Bill of Rights: Credit Insurance
Texas law gives you certain rights regarding your credit insurance. OPIC has prepared a Consumer Bill of Rights for Credit Life, Credit Disability, and Involuntary Unemployment Insurance, which provides a summary of various rights afforded to you by rule or by state statute concerning credit life, credit disability, and involuntary unemployment insurance. Please note that the Bill of Rights does not include all of your rights, nor does it list all exceptions to your rights.
Furthermore, this Bill of Rights does not address your duties or responsibilities as a policyholder. These are found in your policy. Failure to meet the duties or responsibilities spelled out in your policy will affect your rights as a policyholder.
